2012年７月、新木正典(Vocals.Guitar.piano)小国智一(Drums)はEpiphanyを結成。
その名の由来を名付けた新木正典本人は語る事はないが、意味を調べれば「激情」「閃き」「直感」等の言葉が出てくる。
そして同年８月、新井啓太(Guitar)、９月には山岸剛(Bass)が加入。ライブ活動、楽曲制作を行い2013年9月に1st Demoを発表した。
2014年2月、小国智一(Drums)の脱退を機にライブ活動を休止し、楽曲制作に入る。
翌年の2015年10月、富沢晃希(Drums)の加入に伴い同月15日ライブ活動を再開し、新曲「朧」を発表。
1st DemoCDに続く次回作のリリースを心待ちに、新たな4人で奏でる音がEpiphanyという音楽をどう示していくのか今後の活動に期待したい。

In July of 2012, Epiphany was formed by singer and guitarist and pianist Masanori Araki and drummer Tomokazu Kokuni. Masanori will not expose the origin of the band name, but epiphany itself is often defined as passion, insight, and intuition. Guitarist Keita Arai and bassist Tsuyoshi Yamagishi joined in the family in August and September of the same year, respectively. As our expectation towards newly born music throughout the work continues to grow, we will have to wait and see what they bring to the table. The story of Epiphany only just started.
